Brandi Bishop
Executive Director Theresians International |
Hello! My name is Brandi Bishop, and I am honored to introduce myself as your new Executive Director. I want to offer a sincere thank you to everyone involved with the search committee, as well as the Theresians Board. Throughout the selection process, I was deeply moved by the significance of the Theresians mission and how much this sisterhood means to each person I encountered. Your kindness and compassion have truly touched my heart. A bit about me: I was born in Chillicothe, Missouri, and am the second oldest of six children. We were raised attending Mass every weekend, and I attended Catholic school through eighth grade. One of the most influential people in my life was my grandmother, who lived directly across the street from St. Columban’s Catholic Church. A devout Catholic, she prayed the rosary daily for nearly everyone she knew, never asking for anything in return. I aspire to be like her in whatever small ways I can. I now live in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with my husband, Alex, of 27 years. We have four daughters—Katelyn, Megan, Allison, and Madilyn—and in the past couple of years, we’ve also welcomed two wonderful sons-in-law, Gabriel and Jackson, into our family. I’ve been a registered nurse for 27 years, with 10 years spent in hospice nursing and, most recently, administrative and leadership roles at Stillwater Medical. For the past 12 years, I’ve also served part-time as the Faith Community Nurse at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Over the past year, I began discerning a new path—one that would allow me to live out my Catholic faith more fully in my professional life. When I discovered the opportunity to serve as Executive Director of Theresians International, I was immediately drawn to the mission. As I learned more, I felt a deep calling to be part of this work. As a mother of four daughters, I understand firsthand the importance of faith-filled relationships. I’ve seen how much my daughters cherished the connections made through religious education, confirmation, and their college faith groups. But I also noticed how those spiritual communities often became harder to find as they grew older. Theresians fills that gap. This sisterhood provides the support so many women long for: a hand to hold, an ear to listen, and arms to embrace. I am truly excited to walk alongside you as we work together for the growth and sustainability of Theresians International. I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can in the coming months. I feel deeply blessed and grateful to have been chosen as your Executive Director. With continued prayer and guidance, I will do my best to carry on the vision and legacy of Monsignor Voss. With gratitude and peace, Brandi Bishop Executive Director Theresians International “The process of becoming human by living faithfully is always open-ended. In Community, we have a shared sisterhood; in Spirituality, we experience continued growth in knowing the Lord; in Vocation and in Ministry, we develop the rich experience of active fidelity as well as passive fidelity; and through Education, we become useful instruments for the work of God’s kingdom. May we celebrate this Education Dimension together with open minds, hearts, and spirits so that we are truly Women in Support of Women …Reaching Out with Gospel Values."
