PRAYER IN CELEBRATION OF THE
50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THERESIANS

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Theresians of the United States, may we lift our hearts and voices as we pray. . .

In Gratitude for Monsignor Voss and the founding women whose prophetic vision planted the seed from which sprang the fruits of Theresians.

In Thanksgiving for the early lay women who answered the call of the Spirit to support and affirm the religious women in their communities.

In Appreciation for all the leaders of Vatican II, whose courage in recognizing and affirming the dignity of womanhood, opened the doors to women everywhere.

In Love for St. Thèrése, our Patroness, and all holy women, whose example of doing small things with great love have inspired and empowered us as women of faith.

In Solidarity with all women, especially the poor and marginalized, that they may be comforted by the mercy of our God and the joy of resurrection.

In Hope that all Theresians, as they grow in faith, will discover and celebrate their own sacred truths and inner wisdom.

In Faith that the leaders of Theresians will serve with a missionary heart and foster the growth of Theresians with reverence and passion.

In Joy that the Theresian organization will continue to be companioned by the Spirit as its members live out their baptismal call to spread Gospel values.

All:  O God, we invoke your Spirit of love to be our source of inspiration in all that we do.  During the sacred meeting times within our communities, help us uncover the richness of our own inner lives and share those hidden treasures and gifts in ministry to others.  May we welcome and embrace women of all ages and diversities and support them in their journey to wholeness and holiness.

We pray this in the name of God, our fountain of all grace and blessings.  Amen
