1. The Theresian flyer contains a general explanation of Theresians.  The unique feature of this organization is the combination of the five dimensions - spirituality, education, community, vocation, and ministry.  (Flyers are available through the International Office.)

2. The Theresian organization strives to offer a balanced, Christian opportunity for the progressive, contemporary woman.  Therefore, many areas of growth, enrichment, and awareness are made available to each Theresian. 

3. Theresians is a Catholic organization open to all Christian women.  Membership appeals to women of all ages - single, married, and professed religious.  In 2007 there are 143 Theresian communities in ten countries.

4. Monthly meetings offer spiritual, educational and community experiences.

5. International and national boards, through their leadership roles, offer a ministry of service to the general membership and their district and local leadership teams.

6. District Leadership Teams are available in some areas to assist local leaders. 

7. Theresian policies and procedures are created and frequently reviewed by the Theresian Board for local Theresian leaders.

8. The Leadership Manual has detailed suggestions for all Theresians leaders, including suggested, successful  methods of actually starting a new community. This procedure is detailed in “Theresian Community Formation Guidelines.”

9. A quarterly national newsletter offers spiritual reflections, information about Theresian activities, and ideas for the continued formation of communities. 

10. There are some requirements for international affiliation, but there is complete freedom to establish local goals within the context of the Theresian Mission and Charism Statement.

11. Theresian communities vary in size from fifteen to twenty-five members.  The recent trend toward establishing small communities means that the average size of a Theresian community today is 12-18 members.

12. There are numerous communities throughout the United States and communities in Canada, Australia, the Philippines, Brazil, Ghana, Mexico, South Africa, Argentina and Thailand.  See Locations. 

13. The international network is maintained through the Theresian international office and the Theresian Board of Directors. 

14. Members believe when Christian women bond together for the support and growth of one another, they have tremendous influence for good at home, in church, and in society.  The Executive Director is hired by the Board of Directors of Theresians to provide continuity, communication, leadership, fiscal management and oversight of the organization.  She reports directly to the Executive Committee.

15. The Theresian Foundation’s sole purpose is to support the ministry of Theresians.  Funds contributed to the Foundation work to increase the assets of the Foundation so they may continue to fund Theresian activities.  The Foundation is an important part of the Theresian family. 

16. Each member is expected to financially support the Theresian organization through membership dues.  The United States is asked to pay $75.00.  Membership dues for other countries are US$2.00.
